Auditions for Term 11

Auditions for KW Glee (ages 14-20) and KW Glee Jr. (ages 9-13) will be held January 31st & February 1st. Additional dates may be added. Auditions will take place at the Renaissance School of the Arts dance studio.

Rehearsals start February 9th (Monday choreo first). The rehearsal and show schedule is posted below. The shows are the weekend of June 6th, and we are also competing in the Show Choir Canada competition on April 11th at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto.

Please only audition if you can make all of the Saturday (and Monday for seniors) rehearsals, and are available during the show weeks (extra rehearsals occur the week before the show). We allow performers to miss up to 3 rehearsals if absolutely necessary, but may be asked to leave the group if it exceeds that number, and if there are conflicts show week. Please check with your school and other organizations that you are committed to for conflicts before agreeing to be part of this group.

Please prepare a pop song. We are mainly interested in pop music style singing. To get a sense of what material we have done in the past, please search for KW Glee on YouTube or iTunes. Having a second song prepared is a good idea. There may also be a harmony singing test.

Please bring either sheet music or a CD or iPod with backing tracks (karaoke versions) with you. Having both sheet music and a backing track is a good idea. Do not bring a track with the lead vocal on it.

Please bring a performance resume and headshot photo. (Include only experience and training related to this type of group and information about lessons, previous groups or shows, dance experience, etc.)
